PIANO
ERARD serial# 14214, sold in Paris on 12 of December 1838. It is possibly an instrument that Chopin could have played on. The very similar piano that belonged to Franz Liszt in now a part of Chopin Museum in Warsaw. This Erard arrived to Atlanta from Paris specially for the Chopin Society of Atlanta Inaugural Concert in Roswell, Georgia, November 2, 2002 as a courtesy of Lechevallier Piano House. With this instrument we have a chance to experience the sound of Chopin’s time, the palette of colors, power, selectiveness and balance of the vintage piano. |
